External Rendering
Sand & Cement
Sand and cement rendering is done with an undercoat (scratch coat), and a Top coat which can be finished in a variety of textures and styles. Plinths, drip rails or any other decorative features can also be included. The ratio of the sand/cement mix and the inclusion of lime or other chemical additives such as; Plasticiser, water proofer, SBR, will be selected according to the specific requirements of the project.

Pebble Dash
Pebble dash is achieved by using a thicker render coat over the scratch coat, known as the butter coat, into which a decorative aggregate is pressed in order to give an attractive hard wearing finish that is low maintenance. A wide range of aggregate is available for the finish in a variety of sizes and colours, the render mix can also be coloured to a degree to compliment the aggregate.

Tyrolean
Tyrolean gives a textured render finish that is available in a range of colours. There is no need to decorate so maintenance is low and the finish is hard wearing. This finish gives a new lease of life to older properties.
One Coat Coloured Render
This is a pre-mixed coloured render so the coloured finish is extremely consistent. As with Tyrolean One Coat it is available in a range of colours, it is also silicone enhanced to reduce lime bloom and increase water resistance. This render finish gives a smart clean modern look and is especially good for use on new projects.
Beading
All joints and external edges are protected with beading that is compliant with BS EN 13914 -1:2005, the new standard for external rendering. Our personal preference is to use PVCu beads which are also available in a range of colours to tie in with coloured finishes. Stainless steel beading is also available if required.
