Drywall Services in Sussex and the South East
The options available when selecting ceilings are extensive, whether the specification is dictated by the performance or appearance requirements of the finished product.
Consideration should be given to the other services that are likely to be incorporated within or near to the ceiling construction, i.e. lighting, air conditioning, sprinklers. These could affect all of the ceiling elements i.e. grid system, tiles, or even the positioning of the ceilings suspension system.
The supporting grid can either be concealed or exposed, varying in size and profile to enhance the performance of the ceiling, or improve the aesthetics of the finished installation. The grids are available in a range of colours but white is the preferred finish for the majority of installations. Perimeter edge details can be varied to give a more defined line between horizontal and vertical planes.
The ceiling surface itself can comprise tiles, planks or open cell modules in a variety of materials. This results in a wide range of surface textures, finishes and technical properties to meet individual needs or requirements.
The method of suspension of the ceiling grid is determined by the weight of the ceiling structure, and the distance from the ceiling grid up to a suitable overhead structure. In the event that the existing structure is unsuitable, for some reason, it may be necessary to incorporate a sub-grid.
